Nearly 100 members of the Class of 2017 trekked out to Keney Park, Sub Edge Farm, U.S. Horse Welfare, and Community Farm of Simsbury to lend a hand with spring projects. As part of the Annual Senior Community Service Day, the students worked diligently to contribute to the local organizations.Samantha Jensen, Director of the Learning Center at Avon Old Farms worked alongside the seniors at the U.S. Horse Welfare property. Mrs. Jensen states, "This is a way to get everyone out of their own head, look at the bigger world, and see what they can do to go out there and make the world a better place."
