There are those who feel that the 2015 Varsity Lacrosse team may well go down as one of the best ever in the long and storied history of the sport at this school. There are good reasons for this sentiment as this talented group compiled an overall 15-2 record, captured both the Western New England and Founders League titles and were ranked by USA Today as the number one team in New England and a top program in the "Elite 25."  To add credence to that publication's praise for the Crimson and Navy, at season's end, Inside Lacrosse also awarded a top 25 spot to the stickmen from Avon.

Crucial victories over Deerfield, Salisbury were icing on the cake as the champions captured their fourth Founders League crown in six years with wins over conference rivals Choate, Westminster,
Kent, Hotchkiss, Taft, Trinity Pawling and Loomis. In doing so this team managed to put together the second straight undefeated Founders League record at 14-0. The last time that this confluence of championships and number one rankings came about was 1981. There was reason to celebrate in 2015! Seniors will attend Virginia, Georgetown, Syracuse, Michigan, West Point, Air Force, Lafayette, Bryant,Virginia Tech, Amherst, Wesleyan, Bates, Dickinson, Elon, Wheaton and LIU(Post).
