Each year, AOF submits its best artworks for possible inclusion in the Scholastic Art Awards Exhibit in Hartford. It is an honor to be selected to represent the School, and the Art Department holds our nominated artists in the highest esteem.

With thousands of entries this year, the competition was fierce and at its most competitive. The judges for Connecticut made their selections. Please congratulate these talented students, as well as all those who submitted (all those in AP Drawing and AP Photo submitted, as well as a few in Independent Study, as well as advanced woodworking), as we are very proud of them. Artists receiving the Gold Key award are given the highest honors and compete at the National level as well!

- Young Jun Song '16 submitted a charcoal drawing titled "Pieces of Home", won GOLD KEY

- Max Rieser '16 submitted a drawing titled "From Pieces", won GOLD KEY
Work will be on display at the Silpe Gallery at the University of Hartford from January 17-Feb 5 9-5pm.
