The Winged Beavers won their fourth straight on Wednesday at home against Berkshire. Avon jumped out to an early lead only to give it up right before half time. The Winged Beaver defense gave up 21 points to one player who hit five three pointers on the afternoon, three of which coming in the first half. Fortunately for Avon, only 3 other Berkshire players scored any points at all. On the other hand, Avon had nine players who scored led by Ugo Njeze with eight Anthony Maselli with 7 and Miles Webber with 6 (three players tied with 5). In the end, Avon’s team effort prevailed as the Winged Beavers took the lead half way through the second half and did not give it up thanks in large part to the defense of Taylor Stone. Avon will play Canterbury away on Saturday to keep their streak alive.
