Avon 77 – Rectory 84

Avon lost a fourth straight to Rectory on Monday, 84-77. Although 77 points was a clear season high for the Winged Beavers, Rectory’s offensive production was even better. Mike Castellani led the Beavers with 29 points. He hit multiple three pointers, mid-range jumpers and layups. Remarkably, Castellani’s 29 was still not he game high as Rectory’s center netted 34. Done 29 at one point in the second half, the Winged Beavers played hard all game and came roaring back towards the end. Avon will look to avenge their fourth straight loss Wednesday at Hotchkiss.
