New York Military Academy is located on the northern edge of Cornwall-on-Hudson, six miles north of West Point and five miles south of Newburgh, at the junction of Routes 9W and 218 and Main Street, Cornwall.
From the George Washington or Tappan Zee Bridges: Proceed north to the Palisades Parkway to Bear Mountain circle. Pick up 9W north and continue for 14 miles. You leave 9W 500 feet beyond the NYMA sign, turning right on to Route 218. Continue on Route 218 to the school entrance on the left.
From Boston and Northeastern New England: Go west on Mass Turnpike to the Sturbridge Exit (No. 9). Go south on I-86 to Hartford. In Hartford, proceed west on I-84 to the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge. Take the second Exit over the bridge (Route 9W) and proceed south to Route 218 Exit (approximately six miles). Take Route 218 going east to the entrance of the Academy.
From Upper NY State: Go south on the NY State Thruway, getting off at the Newburgh Interchange, Exit 17. Turn east on to 17K, proceed 3 miles to 9W south, and then 5 miles to the NYMA sign. Exit on to Route 218 and proceed to the school entrance on the left.
