Dear Families,

Thank you for considering Summer Fun Camp at Avon Old Farms School. We are excited to be entering our 13th season in the summer of 2010, and we eagerly await welcoming your children to our camp. We look forward to having the opportunity to do all that we can to meet your childrens' needs this summer and to provide them with an experience that will fill them with life-long memories.

It is our mission to provide campers with experiences to learn new skills, build new friendships, and gain self-confidence. We offer a wide range of activities and encourage campers to take advantage of all that Summer Fun Camp has to offer. In addition, we promise you that your children will return home each day full of stories and ready for a good night's rest.

Campers entering grades K-1 will be Beavers. Their program is designed specifically with young children in mind; shorter activities and extra supervision are provided to make sure that our youngest campers are exposed to a variety of activities in a safe and nurturing environment. Our K-1 activity leaders are extraordinarily dedicated and experienced.

Campers entering grades 2-8 are split into three groups: students entering grades 2-3 will be Elephants, students entering grades 4-5 will be Eagles, and students entering grades 6-8 will be Pelicans. Each group is represented by a detail found within the architecture of the school.

Campers entering grades 9-10 will be members of our Counselor in Training (CIT) program. This structured program is designed to provide students with leadership training, skills, and opportunities to prepare them for leadership positions in the future.

The breadth of our activities, our extraordinary staff, our state-of-the-art facilities, and our "small camp" atmosphere have made Summer Fun Camp popular with campers of all ages in the past. If you would like Summer Fun Camp to be a part of your child's summer, we urge you to enroll as soon as possible since space is limited. We look forward to being a part of your child's summer and sharing with you all that Summer Fun Camp has to offer.
