Event Recap: Thirds football lost 28-0 to the Brunswick Bears on Saturday, September 24. Despite the lop-sided score, Avon's 3rds football team played fairly well overall, with the exception of four big plays surrendered to Brunswick. Derek Kasperzyk showed that he will be a running back to watch as he came extremely close to breaking several long runs for scores. Chris Davis provided strong leadership at quarterback. On both sides of the ball, the team showed signs of talent and ability. This week they will work hard to gain consistency and prepare for a home game against Rectory on October 1.
