Jv Soccer had their third game today which ended in a draw. The Winged Beavers owned most of the possession all game and due to the weather conditions they had a hard time controlling the ball at their feet. Early on in the game the Beavers played many balls into the box however due to the wet conditions the ball would skip wildly right through. There were many opportunities missed and the two teams went into half time tied 0 to 0. Avon came out of half time on fire. They had many opportunities that had Brunswick on their heels. Finally, a hero arose in the game. Ramsey Heitmann was able to get his foot on the end of a cross and finish the ball into the back of the net. Avon continued to dominate play until a quick counter by Brunswick broke Avon’s lead. The ball was played through the defense from the midfield and Brunswick finished tying the game 1 to 1. The rest of the game was a battle all the way up to the last whistle and the game ended with a 1-1 tie. Avon is back in action the 5th of October when they travel to Hotchkiss.
