Avon Old Farms Students Shine at 2025 Scholastic Art Show
Avon Old Farms School is proud to announce the outstanding achievements of its talented students at the 2025 Scholastic Art Show. This year, Avonians earned an impressive 21 awards, including six gold keys, eight silver keys, and seven honorable mentions, showcasing the breadth and depth of the creative talent fostered at the school. Of particular note, Avon Old Farms had eight portfolios selected for display out of only 66 portfolios chosen statewide.

The Scholastic Art Show is a highly competitive platform that celebrates young artists across Connecticut and beyond, recognizing the creativity, vision, and skill of students in various artistic disciplines. The participation and recognition of Avon Old Farms students in this prestigious competition highlight the school’s commitment to nurturing artistic excellence alongside academic and character development.
“We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work, dedication, and creativity,” said Visual Arts Department Chair Cristina Pinton. “To see them earn such high distinctions in a competitive field reaffirms the strength of our arts program and the talent of our young artists.”
These achievements reflect the exceptional guidance of Avon’s Visual Arts Department, whose faculty continually inspire students to reach new artistic heights. The school congratulates all award recipients and looks forward to celebrating their continued success.
Student work is on view at the University of Hartford, Silpe Gallery, from January 13 through January 31. Gallery hours are Monday - Sunday, 12 - 4 p.m. or by appointment.
