Winter Sports: Learn Where The Winged Beavers Landed

Winter Sports 2021

This winter, despite the Founder’s League cancelling interscholastic competitions, the administration ensured Winged Beavers had a chance to play. Hockey, basketball, and squash all competed this season, participating in a total of 33 events.

As the weeks went by and captains were unable to report scores during Morning Meeting in the Brown Auditorium or Chapel as would be done in a typical year, the WAOF Studios team stepped up to the plate and created weekly highlights to push out to the community.

Weekly Recaps

Sports Recaps for four weeks of play; videos will play one after another.

In addition to these weekly sports reports, in the latest edition of the Avon Record, sports editor PJ Neal ’21 wrote about the Winged Beavers success on the ice in a series of games against Salisbury in late February:

Before the students departed campus for a much-deserved break, our senior winter athletes were recognized by their teams and families following their last home game. Check out photos of events, and other photos from throughout the winter season here.

When the students return after Spring Break, they'll rotate onto their spring sport rosters. We'll be exciting to bring the community news as soon as those spring teams are underway.
