Deb grew up in Branford, Connecticut, and while studying at UConn she met her husband, Ted Garber, an AOF faculty member at the time. The couple were married and moved to New Hampshire where they resided for 13 years and had three children, Brooks, Brett, and Brittany. Five years later their next stop was Amherst, Massachusetts, before they returned to Avon Old Farms in 1997.
Today, Brooks is a golf professional living in Naples, Florida, with his family; Brett is a sales associate with a team-wear company residing in West Hartford, Connecticut; and Brittany lives in Stamford, Connecticut, where she is a project manager at a marketing firm in the area.
While Deb still calls Connecticut her home, she enjoys traveling to her second home in Celebration, Florida, to be near her grandchildren. She also enjoys crafting and relaxing with a good book.
