"One of the most amazing parts about Avon education is that there is available information outside of the classroom."
"As a preparatory school, Avon has thrown challenges at me left and right, but has also molded me into a young man that is willing to face whatever academic and athletic challenges that may confront me in college. One of the most amazing parts about Avon education is that there is available information outside of the classroom; I have learned more about different forms of art and architecture from just taking trips with my friends and teachers.
Avon has pulled out the best in me and has shown me that, despite the fact that we face challenges every day, there is a community willing to help guide us. Another benefit of being a part of such a tight-knit family is the fact that we, as students, are gifted the opportunity to get to know our faculty members and their families. I have made some very personal connections with a few faculty members that will last forever, and that is something that I am very grateful for.
In order for me to fully acquire the Avon experience, I needed to get involved in everything that this great school had to offer. Sophomore year I took a leap and decided to join Yearbook because of my love for writing and interest in the arts. I never would have thought that just a year later I would have earned the title of Assistant Editor, which puts me in line to become Editor of the yearbook senior year.
In the end, there is nothing I regret about making the decision to come to Avon. I really love that Avonians stress Brotherhood and that we have brothers that come from different parts of the world. There is a special feeling that you get when you step onto campus and it is much bigger than just one Avonian. It is the feeling of being apart of a Brotherhood and this special bond lasts after graduation from both high school and college. The Brotherhood lives within us and will last forever."
