The College Board is discontinuing SAT Subject Tests

The College Board will no longer offer the SAT Subject Tests in the U.S. Students in the U.S. will automatically have their registrations canceled and receive a refund. Because SAT Subject Tests are used internationally for a wider variety of purposes, we'll provide two more administrations in May and June of 2021 for students in international locations.

The College Board is discontinuing the optional SAT Essay.

This decision recognizes that there are other ways for students to demonstrate their mastery of essay writing. At the same time, writing remains essential to college readiness, and the SAT will continue to measure writing and editing skills. The tasks on the SAT Reading and Writing and Language tests are among the most effective and predictive parts of the SAT.

Testing Registration

The ACT will be offered at Avon Old Farms School as follows:

  • April 17th, 2021- registration deadline date March 12th.

If he has not already, your son will need to create an account and register at ACT.org.  Because we are not a national test center, and will be testing only the AOF students, your son must indicate a test center number (212250) in order to be recognized as a student at our school.

The SAT will be offered at Avon Old Farms School as follows:

  • April 27, 2021 - registration deadline date March 10th.

Register for the SAT through the Google Form emailed to your son or by contacting the Avon Old Farms testing coordinator Marie Delnicki at delnickim@avonoldfarms.com.
