Campus Visits for the Weekend: 4/17 & 4/18

Good morning,

As we move through the fourth quarter, our community continues to do a great job adhering to our guidelines, and we once again have 100% negative tests on campus. As a result, we are going to continue to evaluate and make conservative adjustments to our policies. This weekend, we will allow parents an opportunity to visit campus for the athletic competitions and the upper campus. This is an important step as we look forward, and we appreciate all of your patience and adherence to the COVID protocols in advance.

Visiting Upper Campus

Parents/caregivers are welcome to visit campus on Saturday and Sunday from 2–6 p.m. We will ask that you spend time outside with your sons, and we will have seating on the patio of the Student Center as well as the Village Green. Please feel free to bring food and enjoy the outdoor areas of campus with all COVID-19 protocols in place. Dorms remain closed to outside residents. If you are planning to attend, please register with Anne Townsend townsenda@avonoldfarms.com before 4 p.m. this Friday.

Students will not be allowed to travel off campus.

Athletics

Home Contests: Geoff Barlow sent specific expectations yesterday concerning visitors to the athletic fields this weekend to watch our games against Salisbury. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to game time. All COVID-19 requirements must be followed (masks, social distancing), and please view the competition from the opposite side of the field from the benches.

Parent Zoom

Jim and I plan to hold a parent Zoom next Wednesday, April 21, at 6:30 p.m. ET to discuss the fourth quarter and end of the year plans. We will send the Zoom link on that date.

As a reminder, please do not come to campus if you've been traveling, are not feeling well, or have been around anyone who may have been exposed to COVID-19. Your partnership is critical to our ongoing success, and we appreciate your diligence to reduce risk to our community.  We look forward to a great weekend on campus!

Best,

Rob
