Schools rely on several streams of income to deliver their mission and balance their budget in a responsible way. Avon Old Farms School is no different.
Tuition covers 75 percent of what it costs to be experts in educating boys. The balance is funded by proceeds from our endowment as well as gifts made to the Fund for Avon. This year, $3.5 million in annual gifts must be raised by June 30, 2023, for our budget to succeed, directly affecting students, faculty, and our numerous programs and initiatives. Most importantly, annual gifts, regardless of the size, allow Avon to respond to its most pressing financial concerns and provide the flexibility to seize unique and important opportunities like preparations to support a healthy school community.

This R.E.A.L learning philosophy creates an environment where boys can learn best. Retaining and developing top-tier faculty who are experts in educating the whole boy is also critical to keep our community healthy & well, in and out of the classroom. From library support to student activities, college counseling, and athletics, your donation helps provide continuous curricular and program development to shape the young leaders of our future. -
Area of Greatest Need: Gifts to Avon's area of greatest need give us the flexibility to address our highest priorities and meet ongoing operational requirements. Support in this area helps us take advantage of emerging opportunities while honoring important traditions to ensure our community is thriving.

Financial Aid: These financial aid dollars are more critical than ever to ensure Avon remains financially strong to attract and grant resources to top-tier students. For the 2022-2023 academic year, 46% of Avon Old Farms students collectively received more than $5.7 million in financial aid grants.

Facilities: This support allows us to make enhancements to buildings and grounds that honor Mrs. Riddle’s architectural legacy. Gifts to this area truly power our campus— from heat and fuel to capital projects and campus safety.
Single-sex learning where educators are qualified in their fields and understand how young adolescent males learn best is the cornerstone of an Avon education. The deep relationships formed between students and educators at Avon prepare young men to matriculate to top tier institutions and instill Avonian values that guide our graduates to be successful not only during their time at Avon but throughout their entire life.
