Intersession 2019
As we begin our journey into 2019, Avon Old Farms School has a lot ahead of itself: bidding farewell to our beloved Headmaster Kenneth LaRocque after 38 years of dedication to our community; welcoming the transition to a new era of leadership with Jim Detora, the eighth headmaster of Avon Old Farms; and rounding out our $50 million Inspiring Boys, Building Men capital campaign.
Our students, too, are setting their sights on the future, and we took a look with them through a selection of this year's Intersession courses.

CALL FOR HIPPOCRENE SUBMISSIONS
The editors of Avon's literary magazine the Hippocrene are soliciting submissions for this year's publication from any alumnus who attended Avon during Headmaster LaRocque's tenure. The publication will carry a theme of honoring LaRocque's years of service to Avon Old Farms School.
Anything can be submitted from poetry, short stories, and letters to anecdotes/reflections or artwork. Space is limited to a maximum of 650 words, but no minimum (a haiku would be fine!). Email faculty advisor Samantha Jensen at jensens@avonoldfarms.com with submissions or questions.
