Pre-Departure COVID Testing

Avon Old Farms has coordinated with Jackson Labs to offer pre-departure testing on Monday, March 8, for those who would like to take advantage. The fee will be $75. Click here for more info and to sign your son(s) up!

In November we shared that Yale University and select Connecticut Association of Independent Schools (CAIS) are participating in a study to learn more about the attitudes of students, parents, and faculty/staff toward COVID-19, and their schooling. Special Program with Ken Nwadike, the Free Hugs Guy!

On Saturday, February 27, Avon Old Farms hosted a special program featuring Ken E. Nwadike, Jr., an American documentary filmmaker, motivational speaker, and peace activist popularly known as the Free Hugs Guy. Ken is the founder of the Free Hugs Project, which gained popularity as he made major news headlines for his peacekeeping efforts and de-escalation of violence during protests, riots, and political rallies. Ken was featured in Google's 2016 Year in Search video as a highlight among some of the year's most defining moments and he has made many appearances on news programs, including CNN, USA Today, Good Morning Britain, and BBC News.
