And now is the time for Avon to name the rink after the coach who built it.

To commemorate the great achievements John Gardner has accomplished over the past 46 years, we have set the goal to raise $500,000 in the name of Coach Gardner. As a sign of our deep appreciation, we will name the ice the John Gardner Ice Rink, and forever honor his eight New England Championships, 11 Founders League championships, 21 Christmas Classic Championships.
After all, at Avon, it’s our tradition to honor those who inspire excellence.
