Retirement Announcement

On Friday at Morning Meeting I announced to the school community that I plan to retire at the end of this academic year. It is impossible to say how much I have enjoyed being part of such a strong faculty and working with such talented students and supportive families.

The school is now in the process of selecting the next Director of College Counseling and will announce that appointment in the near future.

My wife, Kimberley, and I are looking forward to establishing ourselves in a new community and skiing, traveling, hiking, and spending some meaningful time with friends and family. I have loved teaching English and being chair of the English Department, coaching and running a dormitory. I love my job as director of college counseling, and I am proud of the team we have built in the College Counseling Office. I am also proud to have been a member of this extraordinary faculty and school community. Mine has been a wonderfully rewarding career. I will miss my students and their wonderful families, and I will always remember that you were the ones who made it all possible.
