Spring 2021

As we approach Spring Break, we would like to provide as many details as possible concerning the end of the quarter, athletics, repopulation and the fourth quarter calendar.

We have continued to conservatively review our campus restrictions based on the overall health and safety of the entire community. We have continued to allow students to travel dorm to dorm, expanded food delivery times, increased the hours/menu of the Hawk’s Nest, traveled off campus to local shopping areas, and provided a competitive athletic program.

We will continue to reevaluate campus restrictions based on testing, prevalence, and students making the right choices in regards to COVID-19 protocols.

Help Us Finish Q3 Strong!

The third academic quarter ends on Wednesday, March 10 and several teachers have assessments through this date. If your son is on campus, please do not pick him up until after his last commitment on this date.

Looking Ahead

Planning for Spring Break

Currently, our Spring Break is scheduled for March 10–27. This has been a challenging time for students on campus with the restrictions. We realize students need a break and want them to have some much needed time with their families. The additional time also allows for a two week quarantine, as students begin to repopulate campus. Please reference the quarantine expectations.

Emergency Contacts Reminder

All students are required to have an emergency contact that lives within 300 miles (five hours) driving distance from the school and who agrees to pick up and assume care for the student if guardians are unavailable or can not do so within eight hours of notification.

Students may need to be picked up because they are required to isolate due to testing positive for COVID-19, the flu, or another communicable disease because they are considered a close contact of a positive COVID-19 person and are required to quarantine, if school shuts down, or for other medical or mental health issues.

Please log into Magnus and make sure that your son’s emergency contact is up to date and is still able and willing to pick up and assume care of your son if you are unable to do so.
