Step 2: Open an Account on SSAT
Avon Old Farms School utilizes the Standard Application Online (SAO) which is available online at ssat.org. From this portal, you will be able to submit applications, track the status of your recommendations and keep track of other required forms. Please note that our admissions team cannot update you on your application status until payment is submitted due to new SSAT regulations.
Step 3: Application Requirements
The Transcript—We require grades from the first quarter/trimester of the current academic year as well as grades from the past two years. Most second quarter/trimester grades are released after our application deadline, but please submit them to the Office of Admission when they become available.
SSAT, ACT, and SAT—The SSAT, ACT, and SAT are NOT required this year. If you have already taken any of these tests and would like to share the results with us we will accept it.
The Application—The application, completed by the student and his parents, is to be submitted along with a $75 fee for domestic students and $150 for international students.
School Report—A school report must be completed by the head of school, principle, or guidance counselor.
Recommendations—Recommendations from your current math and English teacher (optional supplemental recommendation).
International Students:
Depending on regional availability, all international students for whom English is not their first language should take the TOEFL or TOEFL ITP PLUS. Upon test completion, please send your results to the Office of Admission. Avon Old Farms School TOEFL code is 9582.
If you have trouble accessing an exam due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, please contact Christel Rooney, Director of International Admission: rooneyc@avonoldfarms.com or via WeChat at AOFInternational.
