Golf Program Summary

The golf program, both varsity and junior varsity teams, at Avon Old Farms has a rich history of success in the Founder’s League. Varsity golf has earned several Founders League, Coppola Cup, and Kingswood Invitational Tournament (New England Championship) titles. Avon golfers have gone on to compete both at the collegiate and professional levels.

In preparation for the season, varsity players and candidates have taken spring trips. Recently, Avon golfers have traveled to California, Florida, and Panama to play some renowned championship courses, such as Pebble Beach and private clubs such as Cypress Point, Red Stick, the Bear's Club and Golf Club de Panama.

While team play, skill development, and course management are emphasized so are important values such as sportsmanship, integrity, and honor.

Both golf teams currently play at Farmington Woods Country Club, which provides a challenging layout and design for all golfers.
