Clubs at Avon Old Farms
Student Clubs
From astronomy to investment club, Avon boys have an encouraging place to succeed – to fail and pick back up again – and embark on a journey of introspective discovery.
Our club program is structured so a student can take the lead organizing and implementing extra-curricular activities such as the school newspaper and yearbook, coordinating social affairs, or community service initiatives.
On Being Ourselves...
"Since my freshmen year, the Nimrod club has made me feel connected to the school. The club gives us a chance to be ourselves – to realize we're all guys – and there's no reason to hide anything."
Andrew Waltzer '16
Avon's Spectrum Club is dedicated to making Avon a welcoming place for all gender and sexual identities, including students, faculty, and staff who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning. Our club aims to educate the wider Avon community about LGBTQ+ issues and, most importantly, it provides a safe and supportive environment for students who do not easily fit into heteronormativity, as well as their friends, allies, and supporters.
