Founded in 1927 by Theodate Pope Riddle, one of the nation’s first female architects and a true pioneer, Avon Old Farms was designed to give boys an enduring environment where they can thrive. From its distinctive Cotswold Tudor architecture to its immersive residential model, Theodate created a place where boys are known, challenged, and inspired. Her guiding motto, Aspirando et Perseverando—to aspire and to persevere—remains at the heart of the Avon experience, shaping young men who are prepared to lead with integrity and purpose.
