We Secure Avon’s Future.

While annual giving sustains Avon today, the endowment protects and strengthens the School for generations to come.

Standing at approximately $100 million, Avon’s endowment provides long-term financial stability, supports faculty, enhances programs, and enables thoughtful planning for the future.

Within the endowment, financial aid is an urgent priority. Each year, a growing number of qualified students require assistance, yet the draw from existing financial aid endowment funds meets only a portion of that need. Strengthening the endowment allows Avon to sustain access while maintaining excellence, now and for the next century.

For the 2025-2026 school year, 42% of Avon Old Farms students collectively received more than $6.8 million in financial aid. Our current draw from all existing financial aid endowed funds is approximately $1,022,500. Additionally, based on peer-school data from the close of the 2024 fiscal year, Avon’s endowment-per-student ratio was $215,431, just roughly 38% of the $565,492 average per-student ratio among our peers. The endowment-per-student ratio is an important data point because it highlights the financial resources available to support each student's education. In addition to financial aid, this ratio directly impacts our ability to support our dedicated faculty and enhance our programs.

A stronger endowment also enhances Avon’s ability to recruit and retain exceptional faculty, invest in academic innovation, and adapt confidently to a changing educational landscapeEndowment support enables Avon to plan boldly, adapt responsibly, and remain strong in times of change.
