We Leave Avon Stronger Than We Found It.

The Centennial Campaign invites Avonians to shape the future through legacy giving commitments that extend generosity beyond a lifetime.

Planned gifts, including bequests and other deferred commitments, play a meaningful role in the success of the Centennial Campaign and may comprise up to 20% of the overall campaign total. These gifts strengthen Avon’s permanent resources, supporting priorities such as financial aid, faculty, and the endowment, while allowing donors to make a significant impact in a way that aligns with their long-term plans.

To ensure the timely realization of these commitments, legacy gifts counted toward the Centennial Campaign are intended for donors who will be 65 years of age or older by the conclusion of the campaign in December 2028. This framework allows Avon to responsibly plan for the future while honoring the generosity and foresight of its donors. By simply documenting the present value of a legacy gift, electronically or in writing, the gift can be counted toward the Centennial Campaign total, allowing Avon to recognize and celebrate the donor’s generosity during their lifetime.

Legacy giving is a powerful expression of belief in Avon’s mission and its future. It is a way to honor Theodate’s vision while ensuring that generations of boys yet to arrive in Mrs. Riddle’s Village will continue to aspire, persevere, and grow into men of purpose.
